Our journey began with friendships discovered and forged by a shared love of living books. Over the past several years, we have felt called to share this love and knowledge with others in a tangible way. Each of us live amongst a home library brimming with good, true and beautiful books where we revel in the timeless classics, ponder tales from the ancients, eagerly explore newly told stories, and wander through everything in between.

Deanna
lives in western Washington with her husband and two sons where they love to fit in outdoor adventures whenever possible including camping, hiking, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, and canoeing. Until she began homeschooling her two boys, Deanna had no idea how much she’d enjoy reading biographies, art history books, Greek and Norse myths, living math books, nature lore and architecture books (her oldest son’s favorite topic). She teaches a nature study class each week at her younger son’s homeschool co-op and finds great joy in sharing her love of nature with children ages 5-12. She also makes time to practice as a pediatric physical therapist treating babies in a level 2 NICU and in the local early intervention program. As a founding partner at Biblioguides, Deanna is the non-fiction queen—entering as many nature study and biographies she can find time for. One of her favorite nature study picture book teams is Dianna Hutts Aston and Sylvia Long; A Seed Is Sleepy is not to be missed!
Kaylynn
began homeschooling her three children 10 years ago but more recently discovered the joy of living books and, using Biblioguides to guide her book choices, finds she enjoys the books as much as her kids do. Kaylynn’s husband, an airline pilot, works a flexible schedule allowing their family to take learning on the road…they’ve recently explored Australia by car, Costa Rica by boat, and Switzerland by paraglider. As a founding partner, Kaylynn primarily focuses on anthology content and manages the financial side of the company.

Lara
resides in Texas where everything is bigger, especially the used book stores. Thankfully she can read ALL the books in these stores as she recently discovered eight pairs of reading glasses in her purse! As a founding partner, Lara justifies all the children’s books she brings home as “market research.” Although she’s officially launched her own three children after homeschooling them using the classical tradition, she continues to put her talents to use teaching several levels of honors literature in a classical school in the Dallas area. She and her husband recently celebrated an anniversary in NYC where seeing Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night at the MOMA was their #1 priority. While Lara, a founding partner here at Biblioguides, primarily focuses on entering the classics and high school level books, she loves ANY books that ask good questions. Two of her favorites are The Fabled Life of Aesop by Ian Lendler and Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy by Gary Schmidt.
Liv
a pastor’s wife, shares her home with her husband, four daughters, two gray cats and (don’t be surprised!), thousands of books. She currently homeschools her girls and serves as a regional hybrid school board president and curriculum director. When she isn’t reading a good book, she catches up on K-dramas and enjoys spending time outside with her girls along the river behind their home. As a founding partner of Biblioguides, her specialty is graphic design, and she ensures our website isn’t just full of what’s good and true, but beautiful as well.

Sarah
homeschools her two children in the San Francisco Bay area where both she and her husband work in the tech industry. Sarah and her kids enjoy meeting up with a local nature club where they explore the rugged beauty of the California coast. Her home is filled with beautiful music and intricate art as her teenage son excels at both. She is also rediscovering all of her favorite picture books to share with her preschooler who is growing up surrounded by good books. As co-owner of Biblioguides, Sarah is the mastermind behind our website, implementing our best ideas and jettisoning the rest!
Tanya
as a young mom, never saw herself as a homeschooler and definitely didn’t anticipate she’d be leading a homeschool co-op in her home 3 days a week! After sending her oldest three off into the world, she’s stepped up to the challenge and her home is now filled with the chatter of not only her youngest (very extroverted) daughter, but a cadre of her friends studying Shakespeare, nature, poetry and art. She and her husband occasionally sneak away for an evening out to visit local thrift stores and find…more books. As a co-owner of Biblioguides, Tanya is the fearless leader who sets the vision each week in our team meetings, keeping us on task and helping us meet the needs of our members.
